Nailed it
I saw this idea online, and fell in love with it right away! I love to journal, even though it has drastically decreased since getting married and having kids. I thought it was a fantastic idea to write down all of our Christmas festivities each year and store the journal with our Christmas decorations. I started in 2013, and it has been really fun to look back and see what all we have done each year, and which traditions have stuck. Here is the journal that I had around the house and decided to use.
Kristin – What a great idea! I love finding older entries in journals or binders. This one will stand out and be remembered since Christmas can be such a wonderful time with family and friends. I may even use your idea for keeping some important Christmas cards we’ve received!
Yes! That’s a great idea! I am brainstorming how to keep Christmas cards too. I’ve seen people punch a hole in the corner and put them on a ring! I want some kind of photo album with clear sheets to put our family Christmas cards from each year in! It’s fun to see how the kids changed each year!
What a great idea! I’m going to share this with my granddaughter! Their daughter turned 1 in August so it’s not to late to think back her last 2 Christmas’s and get this idea going!
Yes! The perfect time to start! Thanks for reading!
What a great idea!
Thank you! I’ve been enjoying it!
A wonderful idea. I have left it a bit late though. I have wonderful memories in my mind though.
I can start this year! I am 62.
Never too late to start! You could even ask some of your family members for some sweet/funny Christmas stories from past years and include that in there! ❤️ Yes, it’s never too late to start!!
Kristin – You’ve nailed it! What a valuable piece of history to pass down through the generations. I love it! It’s a bit late for me, but I’ll certainly suggest my grandchildren start when they have families of their own. Thank you 🙂
Thank you Maureen! It’s definitely not too late to start!! I bet your kids/grandkids would cherish anything you wrote about! If you don’t spend holidays with them, you could write about any times that you see them (or even what you observe through social media). People love hearing about themselves (I also have a journal for each kid where I write what’s going on in their life a few times a year and a bunch of strengths that I see in them)…
Cute!! I keep a journal to listing my expenses, my random thoughts, jot down some important pointers when watching lectures ..it does help to recollect..
Nice! I love looking back on things I have forgotten about!
